Natural Family Planning is for:
Romance and improved communication are a huge benefit of using a natural family planning method.
Many women in such a relationship say they feel cherished by their man. So, if you want to cherish your woman or be cherished by your man – consider a natural method of family planning instead of an artificial method.
Statistics show that marriages, where couples practice natural family planning only have a 5% divorce rate compared to the 50% average divorce rate in America today. Now that definitely says something about going natural….
This statistic comes from a study conducted by the Family of Americas Foundation in 2000. The study: “The Practice of Natural Family Planning versus the Use of Artificial Birth Control: Family, Sexual and Moral Issues.” surveyed 505 women that used NFP.
How does planning a family naturally foster romance in a relationship you might ask…?
Well, if trying to avoid pregnancy, the fertile phase becomes a ‘dating phase’ and the non-fertile phase the ‘consummation phase’. This keeps sex alive and fun in the relationship, and both parties interested.
A natural family planning (nfp) method uses the nature of the body, and science, to determine when ovulation takes place, then a couple, empowered with this knowledge, can choose whether or not to have relations based on whether or not they want a baby.
Natural family planning methods help a couple determine the most optimum time to have relations in order to get pregnant.
Ovulation predictors track one or more of the fertility hormones:
- Luteinizing Hormone (LH),
These indicators identify the most optimum time to have relations in order to conceive.
The reality is that fertility is part of health, it’s not a disease, and knowledge is power. We live in a high-tech era with cutting-edge technology that is precise and accurate. This technology can really give a woman deep insight to her fertility.
It is important for every girl and woman to understand her:
- hormone changes
A woman is infertile after ovulating and typically for the first 5 to 7 days of the next cycle, this is when the cervix is low, firm and closed, no cervical fluid is produced and the sperm dies in 1 to 3 hours because of the acidic environment.
During the fertile phase, the cervix produces cervical fluid (mucus), this is when the cervix is open, soft, and high in the vagina and the sperm is able to swim to the fallopian tube and fertilize an egg.
In a perfect environment, the sperm can live and thrive in this cervical fluid for up to six days.
According to Medical News Today common side effects of oral contraceptives include:
- decreased libido
- weight gain
- mood changes
- visual changes with contact lenses
- intermenstrual spotting
- breast tenderness
- missed periods
- vaginal discharge
There can also be fatal cardiovascular risks such as:
- heart attacks
- blood clots (which can be fatal)
And recent studies have shown an increase in:
- breast cancer
- ovarian cancer
- uterine cancer
- cervical cancer
Scientists are now looking at the correlation between the rise in the use of oral contraceptives and the rise in autism. There is not currently a proven causation but there is a timeline correlation.
Protecting the environment
In 2006 David Norris, (retired) Professor of Physiology from the University of Colorado, studied fish in a river that lived both above and below the Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP).
A complete chemical survey of the effluent revealed a tremendous amount of estrogen in the water.
Experiments showed feminization and demasculinization of sexually mature, male, fathead minnows after 7 days of exposure to 50% effluent.
As a result of this study, there was a major $50,000,000 upgrade of the Boulder WWTP that significantly reduced the estrogenicity of the effluent. After the WWTP upgrade, a complete recovery of the downstream white suckers was reported, as well as no effects of the effluent on male fatheads.
But, not all rivers in the US have gone through a study like this or an upgrade of their WWTP….
And so to conclude, there are many reasons for going the natural route and the purpose of this website is to help couples be aware of the tools that exist today, that can help with planning a family naturally.
